Henry Ford
Henry Ford was the founder of Ford Motor Company, helped in
development of the assembly line, and he was an American Industrialist. He was
a pacifist during WWI and a self-made man. Ford grew up on a farm, the son of
two immigrants and after his mother died he left to become a machinist. He then
came home to work on the farm’s steam engines and then got a job as an
engineer for the Edison Illuminating Company. After he finally had the money, he
started to work on his true passion, gasoline engines. He invented the Ford
Quadricycle and began thinking of ways to improve it. The Model T was
successfully completed on October 1st, 1908.
I believe that this quote really shows what kind of person Henry Ford was,
he was a dreamer and a doer. He believed that if you think you can do something,
then you could. But if you doubted yourself, then you were doomed from the start.
Whenever I go about starting something new I make sure to not think negatively,
or else it always seems to turn out badly. But, if I try hard and really believe in
myself I can do almost anything. It is trully a case of mind over matter, it is that
way with tests in school and driving a car, I’m always pretty nervous before I do
both, but if I breath and take my time, everything will come out fine.
